Tiers of intricate rose-purple
flower bracts rise above
lemon-scented foliage to
attract bees, butterflies and
hummingbirds over a long
summer season. Long-lasting
cut flower too. 30” tall,
annual, half to full sun. This
member of the bee balm
genus of the mint family is
native to the south-central
U.S. and northern Mexico.
Don't be misled by the name if you're planning on a lemon-mint tea from this plant. It's an interesting tea, but doesn't have those flavors; rather it has a distinctly peppery edge to its taste. Best in the garden and as a cut flower.
Latin name: Monarda citriodora
Approx. 100 seeds per packet
Grown in Potter Valley, Mendocino County, California
Certified Organic by CCOF
Open-pollinated, non-GMO

I planted these maybe two weeks ago and already see seedlings. I'm definitely excited to watch them grow. Shipping was very fast. I will definitely shop here again.
