Our favorite bulbing fennel for
its performance in cool soil,
for the way it holds up in hot
weather, and most of all for its
crisp white anise-flavored
stem bases. In our region it
overwinters and can be
planted spring or fall. Uniform
and bolt resistant. Left to
flower, it attracts pollinating
insects and then produces
seeds with many culinary
uses.

Love this fennel variety. Made giant bulbs in my garden!

Planted in the ground on Feb 12, and have 4” plants now, two weeks later. Will probably overseed…looks like about 75% germination (or disruption by squirrels). First time growing fennel here. Very pleased so far.
