... from the C.A.V.E. - Climate Adapted Variety of Excellence
This red-tinged French Batavian is technically a crisphead, but its crunchy outer leaves can be eaten like a looseleaf lettuce for many weeks until it makes that dense flavorful head. Sierra shows seedling vigor above and beyond other varieties, stays healthy in the field, and is extremely slow to bolt – always the last to bolt of all our lettuces.
