... from the C.A.V.E. - Climate Adapted Variety of Excellence
This red-tinged French Batavian is technically a crisphead, but its crunchy outer leaves can be eaten like a looseleaf lettuce for many weeks until it makes that dense flavorful head. Sierra shows seedling vigor above and beyond other varieties, stays healthy in the field, and is extremely slow to bolt – always the last to bolt of all our lettuces.

These seeds arrived very quickly and are in great condition due to the excellent packaging by the seller. I also appreciate the information on the origin and growing characteristics of this lettuce. I will be purchasing from this seller again.
