This Kenyan heirloom is a dry
shell bean growing on sturdy
low bushes. Ripe beans are
dark purple with lighter
streaks and patches – truly
beautiful. Plants are heat and
drought tolerant, and hold
their own pretty well in weedy
situations. Can be eaten as a
fresh snap bean when small IF
you catch the timing.
If what you want is to eat the beans without growing them first, please look elsewhere.

I like the adventure of new varieties. These beans are already acclimated to my planting zone. What fun! Thank you.
